The only thing you can then do is to reinstall the math fonts you find 
in ~\Resources\fonts manually via Windows.

Have you uninstalled LyX 1.4.3 before you installed LyX 1.4.4? Have you 
installed LyX 1.4.3 using LyXWinInstaller or did you use the installer 
named "LyX 1.4.3-5" for LyX 1.4.3?


Are those fonts used to generate output??  I thought they were strictly 
display fonts for the GUI.  IP and PDF output would use MikTeX's fonts. 
 Possibly some of them are missing?  Or the document default font 
should be changed?
