LyX 1.4.3 and LyX 150alpha both give high quality pdf. But as soon as I switch to LyX 1.4.4 (both the official and Wininstaller), the pdf graphics are not only blurred, but are shown incomplete on a seperate page, without recognizing crop box. I also ticked the "vector format" option in preferences, but that made no difference.
