lyx-qt
at the command line, rather than just lyx. I presume that will work.
Then, to save your fingers, create a symbolic link from lyx-qt to lyx.
IMO, the installation should have done that for you, and it should have
had you choose between one or the other toolkit rather than cluttering
up your machine with both.
