I downloaded your file and it downloaded as

I'm a windows user accustomed to zip and rar. What compression
program did you use?
I didn't compress it; I attached the LyX file (which is plain text)
directly.
Then I tried replying with a zipped copy, but GMANE bounced the reply
back to me, I think because it doesn't allow zip attachments (or at
least doesn't allow zip attachments from me). It also won't let me
correspond directly with posters. Basically, I think GMANE is being run
by an ex-girlfriend. :-(
However, as we say around here, "where there's a will, there'll
eventually be a corpse". I've hung the file on a web server:
