Hi Lyx users,

I hope to ask the following question at the right place/audience ...

Using Lyx 1.43 (Linux) and 1.44 (Win) and document class book (koma-script), I
would like to have floating objects like tables and graphics shown centered in
the output (using default settings, they are left-aligned in the DVI and PS
output).

Now, selecting/highlighting the floating object, then using the paragraph
settings to "center" it, it is shown centered indeed in the Lyx frontend. But,
when generating and viewing DVI or PS output, those floats still are located
left-aligned, not horizontally centered.

How can I center floating objects in the generated output by means of using the
Lyx frontend menus correctly?

Regards,

Tom Schlangen
