Thank you very much Paul.
I did not imagine I had to change the set-up of "another" cell. Now
everything works.
(I will also follow your advice about the new topic)

Subject: Re: Table - cell vertical alignment

Dear LyX users,
I take a table. In one row I fix the width of the first cell to "2cm"
(for instance) and I write a long sentence which lasts for some lines.
In the second cell of the same row, I want to put a single value "X"
whose veticle alignment I would like to be centered. Even if I
(apparently) give all the commands for doing so, the DVI does not
display the value X in the middle of the second cell.
Please find in attachment an exemple file.
Here is how I would like the table to be shown
--------------------------
| This is the cell | |
| with a long | X |
| sentence | |
--------------------------
Instead, even after setting the table pannel, it appears as
--------------------------
| This is the cell | X |
| with a long | |
| sentence | |
--------------------------
How can I fix that?
Thank you
Francesco
You have to set middle alignment in the fixed-width column.
As an aside, you'll probably get faster responses if you post questions
as new topics, rather than replying to an unrelated thread.
