I get this behavior consistently in 1.5 RC1 the following way:
1. Create a new file;
2. Write a displayed formula and give it a label;
3. Insert a cross-reference of that label;
4. open an existing document with its own labels;
5. Insert-> cross-reference . . . showh the single label defined in
document
1.
