Anyway, it seems that deinstalling the Bakoma fonts and reinstalling them (as 
advised by Uwe here: http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3949#c5) is 
likely to fix both the display problem and the crash. Could you test this and 
report back, please?
