May I ask why you want to do that? What is wrong with using
Insert>Short Title?
It is redundant. You have to type (and maintain) the short title twice.
I am probably missing something but the objective of the short title is
to replace the caption text in the list of figures or tables. What is
the benefit of having the same text?
