I work on MAC ppc os 1.4.10, the problem occurs with both 1.50rc1 and 2 Starting from the lyx code

using View>PDF (dvipdfm) gives the correct display:
<<inline: Figdvipdfm.jpg>>
whereas with View>PDF (pdflatex), only the left part of the figure appears :<<inline: Figpdflatex.jpg>>
Why is that so?
