[lyx 1.4.3 ubuntu feisty]: language parameters set to frencht but thesaurus remains english

Hi,
I cannot use the french thesaurus function.

The language settings have been set to french and i can use the french  
"check spelling" but the thesaurus remains english related.

What should I change in order to get the french one working.
