Is there an easy way to add the date and time to the header of each page?
I have googled and found some info fancyhdr and datetime which I added
to the preamble. But the former is too fancy for what I want and the
latter seems to cause weird errors (some sort of \adddialect
problems). Just wondering what the easiest way might be.
Thanks in advance!

There are a variety of ways to get and format the date and time, but I
would definitely use fancyhdr for placement. I'm not sure what you mean
by "too fancy", but by using some combination of \lhead, \chead, \rhead,
\lfoot, \cfoot and/or \rfoot in the preamble, you can make the
header/footer as plain or complicated as you want.
