Sorry, I meant $10^{-24} gives the same as $10^{24$}



In LaTeX: $10^{-24}$.

In LyX (in a math inset), the ^ key opens an exponent widget, into which you type -24.

What versions of LyX/LaTeX are you using that don't produce this??
