Hi All,

I know it could be treated as lame question, but:

How to create something like this in LyX:

This is an example of a list:

Set the paragraph type to "enumerate, then type the line and <enter>
   1. LyX is cool (first level)
Press alt shift rightarrow or "Edit->increase (list) depth". Then
type more lines. Old versions of lyx requires an increase of depth
for every line, newer versions will stay at the increased depth
until you decrease it yourself.
   (a) Something new (second level)
   (b) Something old (second level)
On a line with increased depth, reset the paragraph type
to "standard" in order to get the "continuation of 1st".
But many things needs time to understand (continuation of the 1st)
Press enter. Older versions of LyX now go straight back to
the outermost depth level, newer versions will need
a "decrease" (or alt shift leftarrow) at this point.
If you don't get enumeration, set the paragraph type too.
   2. LaTeX generated really nice looking documents (first level)
increase the depth again here
   (a) Element one at second level
   (b) Element two at second level
Stay at the increased depth and reset to "standard" paragraph type
and here it goes the continuation of the first level
Decrease depth (automatically or manually depending on version)
Make sure the paragraph type is "enumerate"
   3. Next element at first level
increase depth again
   (a) Element at second level
decrease depth if you need to
   4. Next element at first level (no continuation from previous point)

What I need is to continue the text at particular level before I put new
enumerated position on the list.
Yes, an LyX supports that very well. Use "standard" paragraphs
and adjust the depth as needed.

Now I put "standard" paragraph for continuations, but I loose formating and
continuous enumeration then.
Yes, you loose continous enumeration because the "standard"
text is on the outermost level. If this document is written
already, just move to the standard line and press "alt shift right"
or menu "edit->increase depth" and you'll be fine.
The formatting will be corrected, _and_ the enumeration
becomes continous too.
Any advices??
Also try help->userguide. Search for the word "nesting", and you will
find a large-scale example. (The Guide uses 6 levels of depth, and
mixes several types of lists too.)

I recommend looking through the Guide just to see all the
cool stuff you can do with text in LyX.
