It looks like you have in your document a paragraph in a style that creates a title page (or title block). You can try * to add a title, or * find out which paragraph needs to be removed or get a different style if you do not want a title. It would be helpfull to have a minimal lyx file that exhibits this behaviour as attachment. Guenter
