I looked at the Embedded Objects manual but it was not clear how I could get my desired effect of just adjusting the space between consecutive rows. I'm kind of new to Latex so I'm sure I missed something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This page says: "All things described in this wiki page and much more about tables and longtables is described in the Extended-Insets manual." I corrected the name and link now from "Extended-Insets" to the EmbeddedObjects manual, that is also part of LyX (menu Help->Embedded Objects). regargds Uwe
