I am working with 3 documents, 2 of which have plenty of formulae.
When I open the three of them, LyX uses 40Mb of RAM. If I close them,
the memory consumption reduces to about 25Mb-33Mb. When LyX has been
running for a while (and several hibernations have happened), LyX
reaches 60Mb of more. At that moment, even if I close the documents
or minimize LyX, no RAM is released.
Are you sure that this is 60MB of RAM? Maybe part of it is virtual and
was "forgotten" by Windows...
I cannot say for sure, but I think it is RAM. I have 1Gb of RAM and, if
I interpret correctly the info provided by the Task Manager, only half
of it is being used. So no virtual memory should be necessary.
Then this is just a page not freed by Windows because it does not need
to (you have plenty of RAM). So no need to worry about that I think.
