First I looked here (random german mirror) http://ftp.uni-bayreuth.de/linux/fedora/linux/releases/8/Fedora/source/SRPMS/ No LyX package found. So after your mail I tried the 'everything' section http://ftp.uni-bayreuth.de/linux/fedora/linux/releases/8/Everything/source/SRPMS/ and now I can find at least a LyX 1.5.2 package. I guess that should be ok. Of course it still leaves the question open if it's included in the LiveCD or at least the DVD.
