1. Install it so that it works with LaTeX. 

   Try to find the documentation that comes with this font file or
   MikTeX documentation about font issues.
   
2. Test it with a small latex file. The "Bodoni doc" will (hopefully)
   give you a clue an the needed command to switch to Bodoni fonts,
   something like
   
      \usepackage{bodoni}
      
   Put this with example text in a bodonitest.tex file (or take an
   existing example) and run through latex.
   
3. In LyX, open Document>Settings>Fonts and set the fonts
   to "Default".
   
   Now open Document>Settings>LaTeX preamble and insert the 
   font-choosing command.
   
The on-screen fonts will remain unchanged but (if 2. was successful) the
printout (DVI, PS, or PDF) will be in Bodoni.
