I would highly appreciate your help in the following problem.
My Latex version- 1.5
I am new to Lyx.
When I open LYX USER'S Guide under help right under the heading it
says highlighted in yellow as follows-
" to export this document as pdf , ps or dvi, the
LaTeX-package hyperref has to be installed.This package should be part
of all
popular LaTeX-distributions"
I opened the Lyx User's Guide under Help in Lyx. Then clicked on
Document--> Clicked on LaTeX preamble---> then inseted in the preamble
\usepackage(hyperref) below the line \ifpdf%if pdflatex is used .
It looks as follos in the preamble:
\usepackage(ifpdf)%part
of the hyperref bundle | These two lines are already there in
the
\ifpdf% if pdflatex is
used | preamble
\usepackage(hyperref)
<------------------------------------I inserted this line

<----------------------------Next line alreaedy in preamble
After inserting this line in the preamble I clicked on APPLY at
bottom of preamble box. Then clicked on TOOLS -----> clicked
on RECONFIGURE. After the reconfiguration was complete, I exited Lyx
and thjen restarted it. After that I opened the Lyx User's Guide
under HELP and then clicked on Acrobat Icon on Icon Menu line to
convert it into pdf document. A new box opened and gave me
the following error:
Lyx: Latex error
Latex Error:File '(.sty ' not found
What do I need to do to convert the Lyx User'S guide into a pdf
document? how do I get .sty file?.
I would highly appreciate any help to solve this problem. I am not
familiar with LaTeX.
