Hello. Perhaps this is a common problem, but I was unable to find an
answer in the mailing list archive. I use a new installation of Lyx
on Linux and when I view a file as a pdf it looks fine on screen.
However, when I print the file, the fonts are fuzzy. My viewer is the
Evince Document Viewer and my printer is HP LaserJet P2015D (fairly
new). Now, when I save the pdf from Evince and open it in acrobat
reader, it will print just fine. I need the pdf for a class I am
teaching and I want students to get a good copy no matter what viewer
they are using. I tried using other converters under the view tab in
Lyx (dvipdfm, pdflatex, ps2pdf) but all give the same problem with the
Evince viewer. However, using a ps converter works just fine with the
Evince viewer (but I dont want to hand out a ps file). Can anyone
suggest a solution? (please give all steps, as Im no expert at this).
Thanks, John
