Hi, I use Lyx 1.5.4 on a Mac and my references show up fine in Lyx document. After converting to dvi and viewing with TexShop, there are only question marks and the reference is "broken" into seperate pieces (e.g. Mustermann, M. (2003) will be (?,?,?)).
