Hi Lyx/Win Users, please be aware that updating MiKTeX 2.7 to current patchlevel as present in its repositories since 09. July will leave you with a broken backend - you will not be able to get any output - not even from the LyX help files. Tried on 3 different XP machines.
LyX/Latex error output will be:
Undefined contro sequence.
LaTeX Error: Missing \begin{document}.
