I'm writing my dissertation in the document class
I wish the abstract, lists of tables/figures & appendix to be listed in the
TOC according to my dissertation guidelines. I've tried using this:
\usepackage[nottoc,notbib]{tocbibind} as suggested in the FAQ but this omits
the abstract and appendix.
I also tried adding \addcontentsline{toc}{chatpter}{Abstract} to the
abstract page but I get an error message.
Finally, I'm required to insert a word count at the foot of the TOC page,
does anyone know how this can be done?
