Hi,
I am Greek and a relatively new LyX user, working on a Linux (Ubuntu 8.04)
system. I have made many attempts to learn LaTeX, but since I found out
about LyX I gave up, prefering instead to do my work in the much friendlier
environment of LyX. About a couple of months ago, I started to write a book
in polytonic greek (utf-8), but I discovered that the hyphenation was all
wrong (the words are hyphenated at wrong places, against the rules of the
greek language), while the headers, instead of the chapter titles, were
filled with a long and incomprehensive error message about the preamble.
I am told that XeLaTeX works fine with polytonic greek, but I hate to start
all over again trying to learn to use the less friendly environment of Kile
or Winefish, so I wonder... is there a way for a user to make LyX cooperate
with XeTeX and the xgreek package? Or, if not, any ideas?
