I finally found a working ? (i.e. not fully tested yet) exam.layout in a mail archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg66809.html it's by Andréas Becerra and does the trick. As I guess some of us lyx users actually have to write exams, it may be about time to have an exam package, at least on the wiki. Sorry, I don't have time (and not sure to be able) to do it myself.
