Hello,

I have just upgraded to version 1.6. (It is now in the ubuntu hardy
repositories.)

I must say that it is impressive, and I am looking forward to learning and
using its new features!

However, there is one very simple thing that I can't achieve, that is: save
the locations of the toolbars. The "math palette" and "other" toolbars keep
going too much to the right (beyond the screen border) when I reopen LyX.
How could I have them stand still, like they did in 1.5.5?

Also, some files made in 1.5.5 don't open correctly. Here is the kind of
error I get:

"/tmp/lyx_tmpdir.J12940/Buffer_readFile.T12940 ends unexpectedly, which
means it is probably corrupted"

Indeed, the file is truncated once opened. About half of it is missing. Is
it safe to delete the above directory?

TIA for any advice - best regards, Daniel
