Dear list,
I use MS WinXP and
Lyx 1.6.0 and now 1.6.1
both show the same ill behaviour.
when I hit export, the first pass is interupted and I get some nonsense
error-message.
bisect: Remove the second half. If you still have the problem, remove
half of what's left; if not, put some back. Etc.

here is part of the log that I thought might bear the problem:

I suspect you've forgotten a `}', causing me to apply this
control sequence to too much text. How can we recover?
My plan is to forget the whole thing and hope for the best.

You've closed more groups than you opened.
Such booboos are generally harmless, so keep going.

I've inserted something that you may have forgotten.
(See the <inserted text> above.)
With luck, this will get me unwedged. But if you
really didn't forget anything, try typing `2' now; then
my insertion and my current dilemma will both disappear.

I couldn't find anything strange in the .lyx-file and the passage the
error-message indicates seems harmless to me.
I have had problems around the TOC befor, especially if pagebreaks
were adjacent.
this time the problem stays when I remove the TOC.
