Extra \endgroup; editing raw TeX?

I've selected the whole abstract of a paper, cut, and pasted to  
another paper instead of its own abstract, which I deleted before  
that.  Now I'm getting an error,

Extra \endgroup
\end{abstract}

-- and the last few words of the abstract are selected.

I can't get to the raw TeX to kill the extra \end{abstract}, and in  
the LyX file it's not there.

(1) What's the way to delete it?
(2) Is there a way to edit the TeX source visible when View->Source is  
selected, in the lower window?
