insert delimiters dialog bug

Hi,  I am using lyx 1.6.1 and whenever I use the insert
delimiters dialog from the math panel with unmatched
delimiters, it never lets me choose the second delimiter:
upon choosing one bracket, either left or right, the dialog
quits and lyx inserts whatever was selected for the second bracket.
This makes sense when you want matching brackets, but
not if you don't. 
Can anyone confirm this bug?
