Because the problem also occurs in English, and I figured that would
be easier for non- Middle Easterners to work with.

Thanks, Uwe, I did _not_ realize that the screen font would not be the
PDF export font. I will RTFM and work it out. Thanks for pointing to
the appropriate section!
