hi uwe,
many thanks for your reply.
Bit this was not changed. Use Ctrl+N to change all line numberings or
Ctrl+Shift+N for only the current line.
for me, ctrl-n or ctrl-shift-n brings up a new buffer. what is the
actual lyx command for line numberings? the only one i have found is
math-number-toggle which does not have the right functionality.
Uwe forgot a step, the righ shortcuts are:
- Ctrl+M (release the keys) N
this will number all lines.
- Ctrl+M Shift-N
this will toggle numbering on current line only.
- Alt+I L (Menu Insert->Label) eq:xxxx <Enter>
this will number current line and insert a label at the same time.
also, as an aside, could we get a dialog box for matrix sizes as easy
to use as the one for tables?
We have this, use the matrix button in the math toolbar. (The toolbar
automatically appears when you are in a formula.)
for me, in the matrix dialog, i have to manually click to get the right
number of rows and columns. clicking and dragging to resize the
displayed empty matrix does nothing, unlike in the case for inserting a
table.
Right, the math matrix button is not as user friendly as the table one.
It should not be too hard to reuse the table one also for matrix. Please
open a bugzilla enhancement request about that.
