Because the reference is set as a "starred"---that is,
unnumbered---section, and by default these don't set the headers.
can i tell lyx where one chapter starting and ending? or is there one
command to edit the headline from the last page?
I think there's something about this on the wiki somewhere. But try
adding "\chaptermark(References}" in ERT right where the references go.
