I unchecked the "two sided document" checkbox on the "page layout" part of the document settings, but it still skips pages in order to start every chapter on an odd page.
SteveT, Have you looked at using the report classes? About the only difference between the book and report classes is the abstract environment in the latter. Also, I'm sure that if you look in TLC2 you'll find a standard way of having chapters start on the next available page. And, in the memoir class (which derives from book) you can have chapters start on the same page as the end of the previous chapter. Lotsa' options. Rich -- Richard B.
