I am not sure to understand what you mean, but I think your are talking
about hyphenation. Documents _without_ hyphenation are painful to read,
so you'd better not suppress it.
Sometimes, you want not to have it for some specific words. See section
3.9.2 of the user manual.
If you really want to suppress hyphenation for the full document, try to put
\hyphenpenalty = 10000
in the preamble (Documents -> Settings... -> LaTeX Preamble).
