Ideally, if I change something, I should only have to change it in one place. One approach would be to use math macros. However, it seems impossible to insert a multi-line AMS environment inside a math macro. Probably a better solution would be to insert a cross-reference which somehow reproduces the original equation. Anyone know of a package that does this? Thanks! -Ben
