the fonts in the dvi- or pdf-output come across ragged and scraggy.
How can this be amended to have a really high-quality output - in
terms of fonts, of course? ;)

Using LyX 1.6.3. on WinVista/MikTeX. Below the preamble of my LyX
document after export to LaTeX.

You know, the same PDF can come out beautiful in one reader and trash ugly in another. Try it in several readers, then do what's needed to optimize it for
the reader in which you want it to look good.

Hmm, I thought it depends on the fonts saved in the pdf or usef for the dvi. Couldn't it be possible to change the fonts which should be used in the pdf? Unfortunately I do not have any clue how to get LaTeX change them.

Thanks for your input.
