According to one post I read (from someone at Trolltech, who should
presumably know), qtconfig is only used with X11, not with Windows.
Control Panel lets you set font size etc. for the operating system. I
think Qt apps under Windows inherit their style from the OS (not
positive about that). However, if the OP screws around with these
settings in the Control Panel, they'll apply to the OS and any app that
uses OS styles, not just to LyX. AFAIK Windows does not provide
app-specific display controls.
Personally, I have no problem whatsoever with the way LyX looks on Win
XP. I would suspect that the display settings (resolution etc.) were
suboptimal, except that would be noticed across the board, not just in LyX.
