Hello!
I am using the article class and natbib. I am writing a paper for a
journal that wants the in text references to look like this:
Gallager (1992: 22) or (Gallager, 1992: 22)
...rather than:
Gallagher (1992, p. 22) or (Gallagher, 1992, p. 22)
...when referring to a certain page (page 22 in this case) in the
publication by this person "Gallagher". I have modified newapa.bst
before, to suit other needs, but I can't figure out where and how to
change the way in text references become formatted. Does it involve
LyX tweaking? Should I look somewhere else?
No, it doesn't have anything to do with LyX. Assuming you are using
natbib, put this in your preamble:
\setcitestyle{notesep={: }}
and see section 2.9 of the natbib docs for more info.
