I've been working in LyX and writing in Hebrew for the last week or so.I have a problem - it seems that if I switch to English (to type in some code), the letters are wrong - for example, I type: "cat", and the screen prints out "tac".I fixed the problem by switching the language to English.
This is correct. Characters that should be combined ltr must be marked to be in a non-rtl language.
But now, sadly, it's not possible to export or even preview the file...
Your example file works fine with LyX 1.6.5. When you are using LyX 1.6.3 or older you should update you LyX installation by uninstall LyX and then reinstalling LyX 1.6.5.
Btw. we have a special inset to typeset program code. Attached is an example where I used this. Program listings are described in chap. 7 of the EmbeddedObjects manual that you find in LyX's Help menu.
