Thanks Mariano. Everything seems to be correctly configured. As I
wrote in my first email, I have been using aspell in Lyx under XP
(which seems to be your case) without a problem. The thing is that
under OS X it doesn't work as required.

The only thing different in my Lyx configuration is that the default
language is Spanish instead of English. Everything else is exactly the
same.
