Hi all,

I have the LyX 1.6.4 that comes with Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit. Right now I can't
rerun LyX to get the version number, but I'm pretty sure it's 1.6.something.

I had LyX open with the outline view at the left, and the right window split
between two views of the document, upper and lower, and was copying from the
lower and pasting into the upper. All of a sudden LyX just locked up -- can't
respond to mouse or keyboard, and once I Alt+Tabbed to other apps, it didn't
even display anything.

A Linux top command shows LyX taking between 99% and 100% of CPU, and it's
been like this for five minutes. The document is about 28,000 words. I'm using
a document class derived from the Book class, with several other environments
added on.

I just killed LyX with interrupt 2. If anyone has diagnostic tests that would
help, please let me know. In the meantime, I'd advise anyone opening the same
doc in two different windows to save early and often.
