There were several issues: 1. LyX has native bibtopic support. Use that (In Document > Settings > Bibliography, select "Sectioned Bibliography", then select "All References" in the bibtex insets; see the attached file). 2. the plainurl style issues errors; probably it is broken. Chose another one (I selected the plainnat style, which works). 3. You have separated the entries in the bib file by comma. This is wrong. 4. Since europecv (oddly) forces utf8x encoding, but your bib file is in latin9, you have to switch the encoding for the bibliography. All this is done in the attached modified files. The result does not yet look really good, but at least the problem is fixed. Jürgen
