If you want to put the notes at the end of each chapter, you don't need the endheads package. Endheads is for adjusting the running headers in endnotes sections at the end of the book, so that it will say something like "Notes to pp. 142 -- 7". Endheads can organize those notes by chapter, and put a line dividing notes for each chapter in the endnotes. But it's for endnotes at the end of the book.
