Dear LyX users and developers, when I try to compile the beamer template provided with LyX, the pdf is not generated but a number of errors occur. I have found that the problem is due to the recent version of the package geometry.sty provided with MikTeX 2008. The bug can be fixed with some line of TeX code before the "\documentclass" command, but, while this is easy in .tex documents, I found no way to fix the bug by using LyX. As a consequence, beamer slides cannot be rendered in LyX. I hope developers will soon fix the problem with a patch or a workaround.
