This may be more of a LaTeX question, so feel free to say so or to point me
somewhere else.

I am using LyX 1.6.6 on Windows XP.

I am maintaining a logbook, via LyX, using the book(memoir) class. I would
like to make this match the hardcopy book I used to use. Specifically, I would
like to have pictures and other extracts on the verso and the running text on
the recto.

Is that possible by, say, making the floats only occupy the versos? Is that
possible to do? How do I ensure that a float is somewhere close to the
associated text, given that there may be several empty versos between
successive floats?

Thanks for any advice.
