Kornel, Thanks for your response. I don't have any personal key bindings. It is a fresh installation. Neither the menu-entries (GUI) nor the short-cuts work. Interestingly other functions like File->New, File->Export, File->Close ... work just fine. I will try to re-install that and send the "lyx -dbg". Now I have LyX 1.6.6.1 installed. Best, Mukhtar
