i just installed xetex here to look at it, but everything work just fine. (my debug messages still contain Converter.cpp(425): Calling epstopdf --outfile="0_trash_centered_m_195_profile.pdf" "0_trash_centered_m_195_profile.eps" ) there must be some catch in your configuration. have run reconfigure? what kind of distribution you are running? pavel
