The PDF Looks OK in Evince.
In Evince: Go to Archive - Print - Print preview. The text is scrambled.
The text is scrambled if printed to paper too.
I can confirm that the scrambles appear for me too, using LyX 1.6.8 on
ubuntu 10.10 and ONLY when using pdflatex and evince. Evince uses a
converter to produce the print version, possibly ghostscript? The bug
must be in either pdflatex or this converter.
I think this is fixed in a recent (2 days?) ubuntu evince update.
