I haven't installed MiKteX separately. I used the Installer LyX-168-4-26-AltInstaller-Complete.exe to install LyX w/ MiKteX. This is why I don't understand that latex wasn't found because both installations were completed successfully. My registry contains only a MiKteX entry of the current 2.9 version. Thanks! ~ Tom
